My NEW Etsy Shop is finally up!

Audra Phillips Dark Art - The Etsy shop is fully up and ready to go. I've got 12 original "Death Mask" pieces up - so far. There will be more. I will be putting up limited edition prints, Steampunk sculptures and maybe even some creative sculptured jewelry. I promise nothing too foofy! There's too many foofy things on Etsy already. And I'm anything but foofy! *~Foof!~*

Creepy Baby Head Hanger This little gem is adorable on your wall or even a Christmas tree. (Put a light behind him and see it shine from his gaping mouth and eye sockets!) A very affordable way to start a "Creepy Collection".
This Guy - What to say about this Wise Sage Death Mask? I'm pretty sure he comes to life at night and will tell you stories that chill you to the bone. The Wise Sage is hand sculpted from polymer clay and signed on the back. Everyone is different. I never really plan out hot the piece will come out. They take on a life of their own, create their own personalities, expressions and soul. Not a mass produced item. Original one of a kind pieces.

(Not to be a name dropper, but I can now...) People like Kat VonD and Clive Barker both own an original Audra Phillips art piece. Get one now before I get "super famous"! LOL! You can say, "I knew her when..."! I love this piece, it's one of my favorites.

Oh, Like Father, Like Sons, probably one of my stranger pieces. My take on society's decline. You act like a pig, your kids will follow. It's also a very unique, one of a kind art piece. All hand node by my, signed and dated on the back. Polymer clay "pigs" mounted on a stained pine board, ready to hang.

Please "Favorite" my Etsy shop so you can keep up with new additions.

After Death... A New Illustrated Anthology

It's been a while - I've been busy working on illustrations for "After Death..." an anthology edited by Eric Guignard and published by Dark Moon Books and due out in Spring of 2013!

I wanted to put a few images here to tease you a bit. It's going to be freaking awesome! Authors from all over the globe have contributed stories to this book about what could possibly happen after death! The editor, Eric writes "Death. Who has not considered their own mortality and wondered at what awaits, once our frail human shell expires? What occurs after the heart stops beating, after the last breath is drawn, after life as we know it terminates?

Each person has their own beliefs, whether based on science, a traditional religion, or perhaps dark, personal experimentation. Do we transcend to another dimension or celestial world? Does our spirit remain while the body rots? Are we given another opportunity to do it all over again? Can we die again in the afterlife? Do we find ways to cheat death and maintain a semblance of living after the mortician declares, D.O.A.? Do we all just end up in a cosmic purée, drunk by an Elvis Presley overlord?"

Here's the illustration for ""With Max Barry in the Nearer Precincts"
Story by John Langan
"John Langan’s most recent collection is The Wide, Carnivorous Sky and Other Monstrous Geographies (Hippocampus 2013). He is the author of a previous collection, Mr. Gaunt and Other Uneasy Encounters (Prime 2008), and a novel, House of Windows (Night Shade 2009). With Paul Tremblay, he co-edited Creatures: Thirty Years of Monsters (Prime 2011). He lives in upstate New York with his wife and son."

Another amazing writer Lisa Morton has contributed with her story "The Resurrection Policy"

"Lisa Morton is a screenwriter, horror author, four-time winner of the Bram Stoker Award, and Halloween expert. Recent short fiction appearances include Blood Lite III, Danse Macabre, and Dark Discoveries Magazine, and books include Witch Hunts: A Graphic History of the Burning Times (with Rocky Wood, illustrated by Greg Chapman), Trick or Treat?: A History of Halloween, and the novella Hell Manor. She lives in North Hollywood, California, and can be found online at www.lisamorton.com."

These are just a couple of the 35 images for the book. If you would like to see the rest please visit my Facebook Gallery: "After Death... Illustrations".

Soda Pop Label for Richard Matheson!

Here's the label I did for the very limited edition soda bottles for Richard Matheson. They will be sold at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, CA. For fans of Richard's work this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get one or two of the bottles of soda.

A little history on Richard Matheson: Richard Matheson (born February 20, 1926) is an American author and screenwriter, primarily in the fantasy, horror, and science fiction genres. He is perhaps best known as the author of What Dreams May Come, Bid Time Return, A Stir of Echoes, The Incredible Shrinking Man, and I Am Legend, all of which have been adapted as major motion pictures. Matheson has also written for several The Twilight Zone television show episodes such as "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet", and adapted his 1971 short story Duel into a screenplay later that year for the Steven Spielberg directed television movie of the same name. - Wikipedia

Book Description

December 17, 2011
We Are the Mutation Nation! The scariest monsters may not be the supernatural creatures we've been taught to fear. We can run from the marauding zombie, refuse to invite a hungry vampire, or turn on the light to banish the ghost in the dark. But there is one thing we cannot escape: our own DNA. When the very stuff we're made of starts to change, we question what it is to be human. The answer may lead us to a country known as Mutation Nation. The citizens of Mutation Nation are gathered here in eleven all-original stories from the inventive minds of New York Times bestselling author Stephen Woodworth (Through Violet Eyes), actress/writer Barbie Wilde (Hellraiser II, Hellbound Hearts), Pushcart-nominated writer Jarret Keene (A Boy's Guide to Arson), and other masters of the misfit who are sure to convince you that the most bizarre creatures in existence are ourselves. Let the maladaptive mayhem begin. Meet the inhabitants of Mutation Nation.

pleasure of Jason's pain is her solitude.
